cozy sounds

Some CDs arrived tonight. Recently, I bought CD at online shops.

Isobel Campbell. She was a member of Belle & Sebastian. Her voice are steady, calm, warm and sweet. I wanna take a nap outside with this. a cozy quiet place, some tree around, and nice soft wind breathing with sounds.

Noubelle Vague. This time they picked up the sounds from soundtracks. Nice easy listeing.




Renato Motha e Patricia Lobato. They used to sing 24 Poems written by a Portuguese Poet, Fernando Pessoa. I haven't read it yet, but somehow, some artist, that I like, seems to love his poems. Renato and Patricia sing softly, gently, steadily and calmly. I like thier songs more each time I hear.

I don't know people know her. she was a singer of Spring released from elefant record before. She's released an album, Suburbia, with marc collin, who is the producer of the group, Nouvelle vague. kinda easy listening, pop and sweetie. I like her voice.

tonight pasta

I ate short pasta with tomato sauce, black olives, potato and ingen(common bean). I added chili pepper and green pepper paste to get hot. It was nice.

chardonnay in bourgogne

We've tasted chardonnay at this time. and blind tasting game.

First blind was 2 bottle. The shop owner said there is an analogy in those two wine. hmm, one of them taste fruity, flowery, and nice acidity. It's little chiller, but very similar to the wine I've drunk recently, Domaine combier. The other wine smelt like sweet, oak smell? and acidity. So that, I answered it's around Macon. The shop owner was grinning at me. and bingo! ahaha, Well, I was lucky that I've already tasted it.

Next blind also there is an analogy. Everybody said the same Vigneron. haha, everybody guessed what's the answer. I've tasted one of them before, but I couldn't noticed that. I forgot how good it was.

This is the most wine at this tasting, Corton Charlemagne 2004. Very rich smell, nice acidity, and nice balanced wine. After the tasting, Only Domaine pavelot's wine were empty. It's likely that everybody liked his wine. I liked Domaine combier, but you know, I've already tasted it recently, I wanted taste the other wines.

Farz oaled d'ouessant part 2

I tried again. This time, I used the ingredients Iris told me last time, no egg. and I added less bacon and potato than last time. I think I prefer this farz. I like this texture. It's little more glutinous.

belisario

A Italian white wine that I drunk on Friday night at my favorite bar Italiano, bancone yohachimaru. Belisario(Somehow, I couldn't see the site on Firefox. IE was okay). the variety was verdicchio. I don't know that I've tasted this variety before. I liked this wine.

tonight pasta

I ate pasta with those ingredients below.

garlic(minced), celery(minced), onion(minced), green papper(grind green pepper added salt,I found it in freezer), ground pork, chopped potato, string bean, and fresh tomato.

I should've potato and string bean little more soften. but not bad.

la boheme

la boheme, it's a new wine of Domaine de la senechaliere, Mr penot. the same cepage as his usual white wines, melon de bourgogne(muscadet). It's the same natural as I know. and I liked it! I love his wine!! Somehow, I think it's little more fruity than ever. and little honey. it went together with farz too.

weekend meal

Those foods are what I cooked this weekend beside farz oaled d'ouessant. pasta with meat sauce and squash. and okowa(a steamed mochi rice seasoned and mix with some ingredients).

Farz oaled d'ouessant

This is a food in Bretagne, France. I've found the recipe from Ovni, a Japanese free paper in Paris. The ingredients were potato, bacon, raisin, flour, milk and egg. The writer forgot how many eggs were needed, so that I used three eggs at this time. potato, 2 big ones, was cut into thin strips, like bigger than carrot râpées. Bacon, about 200g, was cut into cube or the shape as little finger. raisin was about 180g, 500cc milk and 150 flour.
Firstly, beaten eggs, add milk. while stirring the liquid, add flour little by little. Next, add potato, bacon, raisin, pepper, little salt. pour the liquid into the baking dish. the temperature is about 180 degree C, and it will take about 1h. easy cooking. I think I've never seen and eaten farz oaled. I'm not sure my cooking was succeed, but I liked this taste. I think it's little much eggs this time. I will try it again.

It's the first time to smoke a davidoff, petit corona. Very nice one, I liked this. I had a relaxing time.

red espresso!?

I sometimes think it can be a espresso made with tea leaves though, Here it is! Red espresso! it's a tea espresso. To be more exact, it's not tea leaves. it's made from Rooibos. and Actually you can brew it with espresso machine. very interesting. I wanna try it how taste it is.

tea and sweet after dinner

My sister and her daughter visited us today. and we ate macaron with tea after dinner. While we were chatting and watching TV, a tiny neighbor came by and took a glance at us. He is little shy, but has always curious eyes.


smoking food part3

On Friday, We've make smoking food again, not to forget the recipe. The friend built two smoking box and tried the ingredients we wanted to try, pork, chicken breast fillet, shirasu(tine fishes), shiitake mush room, petit tomato, hanpen, and blah, blah. some were succeeded, some were failed. The failure was also fun. We had great time.













We've opened three bottle of wine, blanc and two rose. Unfortunately, one of the Roses was bouchonné. It was the first time to get bouchonné wine. a blanc was made form Oesterreich, Polz. the Cépages was Gruner Veltliner. This wine was great。 nice mineral, rich fruits flavor, and honey. It went together with smoking foods and A wash cheese, Hansi, one of Munster which is washed by Marc de Gewurztraminer. and bread also went together with the cheese. the bread was include some seeds like cummin or something. it's very nice match.

les mandeliers

I opened a wine, domaine combier, les mandeliers. that was very nice. it smelt like honey, I meant very flowery. and fruits, lots of fruits. and nice acidity. I didn't notice it was chardonnay at first. at least, It's not chardonnay that I know. I'm happy know this wine. I wanna drink this wine with friends next time to hear what they say. I liked this wine!

chicken and garbanzo beans

I ate simmered chicken drummettes and garbanzo beans. I added masala paste I've cooked, lemon juice and saffron in it. It's a nice spicy dish.

I ate pasta with tomato sauce. the sauce was made with the leftover of simmered pork and beans. I added a tin of tomato and butter.
