uirou

Uirou is a type of steamed cake produced principally in Nagoya, Yamaguchi and Kyoto. This uirou is made by goken uirou in Kyoto. The shop is located near Keihan Gojou st. It will take about 20 min from Kyoto st by train. The structure is little sticky and sweet. I liked this uirou. This time, I choose a stick of three type uirou(sakura, maccha, and plane). Definitely, You wanna drink Japanese tea(green, houji-cha, genmai-cha)!

fuki no tou

I can see wild vegetable, "fuki no tou" in front of my apartment this year again. Fuki no tou is called "Butterbur sprout" in English. It tastes little bitter and smell nice. some people eat it by Tempura. This bitterness is good for your liver. I cooked "fuku miso" today. just chopped fuki no tou and fry up with salad oil for minutes and added miso, mirin, sake, and some sugar. This time, I also added grated garlic and shitimi pepper(seven flavor chili pepper). It tastes miso, the bitter of the wild vegetable, sweet, and little hot. It goes together with rice!! You can also dip it on chicken, boiled vegetable(example Daikon and Konnyaku). It would be wonderful.

Aberfeldy 1993

I've sipped a glass of scotch tonight, Aberfeldy 1993, douglas of drumlanrig. It's the first time to drink. It smelt like soil and insect like unicorn beetle. Actually, It's a strange representation, but This scotch was unique as for me, and I liked it, even though my representation was not nice.

kaki tea

This tea attracted my attention today. "kaki no ha", the leave of Japanese persimmon. I love the fruit, but I think I've never drunk the tea. It's not exactly tea leaves, but it's drinkable. I don't know that kaki leaves has some utilities, but smell not bad. It's subdued, but I like it.
