A.H. Hirsch Reserve Bourbon 16 years

I've sipped a Bourbon at a Restaurant bar after dinner Yesterday. "Bancone Yohachimaru", My favorite restaurant bar. They serve delicious Italian foods basically. They used to work some Italian restaurant. So that, They can still serve nice cozy Italian meals. The Bourbon was A.H. Hirsch Reserve Bourbon 16 years. It smells nicely and little sweetness. Usually, I have a feeling that It smells less fruity, more cereal(corn?), but this bourbon wasn't. I liked it.

Can you believe I have never tried Bourbon? I think it's high time I did it. My partner's birthday is coming and I think I might as well take advantage of the special occasion to try it.
Can you suggest a brand to be my first?
Greetings
Angelín

Hi Angelin,
You've never tried Bourbon? Ah, I don't know much about Bourbon whiskey, but This one was nice. I recommend Hirsch. Usually, I like grappa. A distilled alcohol in Italy. I hope you find a nice present for the partner.

greetings from asbury park, nj!
hirsch is my all-time favorite bourbons. it's complex w/ lots of caramel flavors. have you ever seen the 16 or 20 for sale anywhere? it's really hard to find here if you can believe it. and NO restaurants ever have it.

hi hs,
Thank you for the greeting from NJ. I didn't know that this bourbon is hard to find now. Actually, I liked it. I will ask how they find the bourbon next time. It seems that there are some unique liquors that is hard to find in the restaurant bar.

that would be great if you can find out if it's available – was that the photo you took of the bottle?
the popularity of bourbon is huge overseas and many of the bottles i've collected have ironically had to come from thousands of miles away -- which is funny since to be called a "bourbon" you have to be made in the USA.
p.s. (i enjoy your site). that's not your dog is it?
